Additional Pictures of Bannerman's Castle






Here are more photos of Bannerman's Castle. Part of this place's "quality without a name" is how the structure fits into its surroundings. However, these surroundings change from season to season; foliage is lost and gained, the water recedes or encroaches the property (which truly is an island), and the way different light in each season and at different times of day effects the color and tone of the stone.

The"castle" also has different faces that fit with the natural coastline of the island. And, since one image can only capture one of these faces, I thought it would be interesting to see how it fits into the landscape in that sense as well.
